Read this article then come back to this post. It's concerning Halloween, yes, but also offers us a glimpse into how kingdom of darkness operates.

From the article:
"Halloween has its roots well over 2,000 years ago in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow’an), which marked a seasonal change, with the pumpkin or gourd as a symbol of the harvest. It was a time to ready fields for winter, round up livestock, and light bonfires throughout the night to honor and consort with the spirits of departed relatives."
Sounds innocent enough right? Isaiah 8:10 - "And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living?"
A great example in the Bible is 1 Samuel 28:3–25, where Saul consults the "witch of Endor". She calls forth an elohim (a being from the supernatural realm), the spirit of Samuel, who Saul questions for information.
The idea of attaining knowledge, particularly difficult, hidden knowledge is a common theme throughout scripture. God alone wants to be our source for truth, knowledge, and how to live. Practices like necromancy and divination - while possible - are not to be sought after because we are essentially calling into question YHWH God's ability, provision for us, and faithfulness. Trust Him alone, he is enough! You might not reach for tarot cards, but looking at zodiac signs and horoscopes? Maybe? Reach for Scripture and consult God's will instead. He has given us enough knowledge of Him and his will for us to live faithfully daily.
As a loving Father, God provides for his children. Let knowledge of HIM be your source of 'satisfaction'.
